A highly regarded law firm with a long history of serving Florida’s local governments is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 4+ years of experience to join their Tampa office.

The firm has been helping Florida’s local governments solve complex legal challenges. Known for its collaborative culture and deep expertise in government law, the firm provides attorneys with the opportunity to handle significant cases, develop professionally, and contribute to meaningful outcomes for public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle litigation matters for state and local government clients in both state and federal courts
• Manage discovery, expert depositions, mediation, hearings, and dispositive motions
• Participate in pre-trial preparation and courtroom proceedings, including jury trials (preferred)
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal research memoranda
• Collaborate with colleagues while independently managing caseloads
• Provide practical legal advice and solutions to government clients

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of litigation experience
• Juris Doctor (J.D.)
• Must be licensed in the state of Florida and in good standing
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience with state or local government clients is a plus
• Self-sufficient in pre-trial practice and courtroom preparation
