Commercial Real Estate Attorney (Contract – Remote, Part-Time)

A globally recognized, full-service AmLaw 50 law firm—known for its depth in real estate, complex transactions, and national footprint—is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to support its busy practice group on a part-time, remote contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly reputable, international firm while maintaining schedule flexibility.

 

The ideal candidate has strong commercial leasing experience, can operate autonomously, and brings a solid foundation of real estate transactional work.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial leases with precision and independence.
  • Handle core real estate transactional tasks, including:
  • Easements
  • Closing checklists
  • Title and survey review
  • Due diligence coordination
  • Provide high-quality legal analysis and written work product for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff as needed while maintaining the ability to work independently.
  • Manage workflow efficiently within a part-time schedule (20–30 hours weekly), with potential for expanded hours depending on performance and practice needs.

 

Qualifications

  • 4–5+ years of dedicated real estate transactional experience—commercial leasing experience is essential.
  • Real estate litigation experience is not applicable for this role.
  • Strong legal writing and contract-drafting skills.
  • Experience working with homebuilders is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be licensed and actively barred in the state that you reside. Candidates in the Seattle area are strongly preferred, but attorneys located in California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Washington D.C.
  • may be considered.
  • Ability to work remotely and operate independently with limited supervision.
  • Cannot maintain concurrent legal work with other clients or firms during the engagement.

 

Position Details

  • Term: 6 months to start, with the possibility of extension
  • Schedule: Part-time (approx. 20–30 hours/week, may increase depending on skillset and workload)
  • Work Environment: Fully remote. Candidates in Washington State preferred, but able to hire candidates residing in: California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Washington D.C..
