Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to support two partners in our tax-exempt organizations and private wealth practices. The ideal candidate has non-profit experience and is eager to grow within the firm, with the potential to take on more substantive, billable work in the future. This role is critical in keeping client matters on track, supporting attorneys, and ensuring smooth project workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with intake and workflow management for a variety of tax, transactional, and regulatory matters
- Conduct research and support the preparation of legal memoranda related to tax and corporate law
- Prepare corporate governance documents, including articles of incorporation, bylaws, resolutions, board materials, and meeting minutes
- Support preparation and filing of tax-exempt documentation, including applications, state registrations, and correspondence with federal and state agencies
- Assist with estate planning documents and related materials
- Communicate with clients regarding project status and workflow updates
- Provide general administrative and project support as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required with strong academic performance
- 1–3 years of internship or relevant professional experience preferred
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and strong work ethic
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, staff, clients, and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe; willingness to learn and utilize emerging technologies, including AI tools
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
