Job Title: Collections Specialist

Location: Roseland NJ 07068

Salary/Payrate: $75K-$90K annually and AWESOME benefits!!!

Work Environment:  Hybrid (1 day WFH AFTER initial 90 day ramp up period)

Term: Permanent / Fulltime

Bachelor’s degree required:  No

Referral Fee: AMS will pay $500 should the person you refer gets hired

This position works closely with our billing attorneys, their legal assistants and clients and as well as other Finance Team staff. This candidate must be comfortable communicating with partners of the firm as well as clerical staff. This position also entails working closely with clients to help facilitate timely payments and pay old debt.

 



Essential Job Functions

  • Almost daily interaction with administrative leadership (COO or CFO) on tasks and assignments
  • Initiates collection efforts on past due accounts, including communication with clients via telephone and/or email in order to monitor and collect funds owed
  • Assists with client inquiries in regard to billing
  • Provide collections support to assigned Partners
  • Follow up on aged accounts receivables
  • Prepare various reports for clients and partners in connection with AR
  • Prepares monthly and year end collection reports
  • Generates and mails monthly reminder statements
  • Maintains thorough, well-organized accounts receivable files
  • Work closely with accounting staff on cash applications, duplicate payments and use of monies held in trust
  • Records all communications in the document management system (iManage)

 





Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience in accounts receivable management and collections efforts. Law firm (or other professional services) industry experience would be a plus.
  • enjoy working independently as well as being part of a cohesive team
  • Candidates should have solid writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Daily use of Excel and financial systems (3E, Iridium, nQzw, Intapp, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)
  • Law firm (or other professional services) industry experience would be a plus.
