Position Overview
The Complex Litigation Paralegal will play a key role in managing complex, high-impact cases and supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation. You will assist in case preparation, discovery, and trial support, ensuring each client receives exceptional service and representation.
Key Responsibilities
- 
Case Management: Manage complex litigation files — including civil rights, premises liability, and wrongful death matters — from intake through resolution.
 
- 
Client Communication: Maintain consistent, compassionate contact with clients, keeping them informed and supported throughout their case.
 
- 
Discovery Support: Draft and respond to discovery, organize and summarize documents, and ensure all deadlines are met.
 
- 
Scheduling & Coordination: Arrange depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials; coordinate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
 
- 
Court Filings: Prepare and file documents through Odyssey, PeachCourt, and Pacer/CM/ECF-GA, ensuring compliance with all state and federal requirements.
 
- 
Attorney Support: Assist with trial preparation, create exhibits, and maintain case summaries and trial binders.
 
- 
Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys and staff in a team-oriented, mission-driven environment.
 
Qualifications
- 
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (experience may substitute for education).
 
- 
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of litigation experience, ideally within plaintiff-side civil rights, premises liability, or wrongful death cases.
 
- Technical Skills:
 
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and case management software (Needles Neos experience preferred).
 
- Familiarity with Odyssey, PeachCourt, Pacer/CM/ECF-GA, and InfoTrack.
 
- Soft Skills:
 
- Strong empathy and commitment to client advocacy.
 
- Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
 
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, purpose-driven setting.

Team: Supports one Complex Litigation attorney with limited LAA support.
