Our client is seeking a highly experienced Litigation Paralegal to support our trial attorneys in managing a high-volume litigation docket. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess extensive knowledge of state and federal court procedures. This position requires a strong grasp of discovery protocols under the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (TRCP), excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and format shell discovery responses, correspondence, and pleading shells
- Prepare hearing and trial notebooks
- Manage and maintain calendaring of court deadlines, hearings, and discovery obligations
- E-file documents in state and federal courts using E-File Texas and PACER/ECF
- Conduct cite checking and Bluebooking (preferred)
- Assist with trial preparation and provide hot seat trial support (highly preferred)
- Coordinate with attorneys and vendors regarding e-discovery and trial exhibits
- Perform internet and legal research using Westlaw and other platforms
Qualifications:
- Minimum of six (6) years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting
- In-depth understanding of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (TRCP) and relevant federal rules
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Westlaw, PACER/ECF, and E-File Texas
- Familiarity with Trial Director and e-discovery platforms (preferred but not required)
- Strong internet research and analytical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Willingness to work overtime as needed, including occasional evenings or weekends during trial prep

- Hot seat trial experience
- Experience with high-volume caseload management
