Type: Long-Term Contract

Core Hours: Flexible 8-hour workday

  • Shift Schedule: Day Shift, Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and extended hours
  • Core Working Hours: 6:30 – 3:30 pm

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for monitoring torque process control, and for leading torque studies as required for torque release. Support the analysis, prioritization, investigation, and ultimate resolution of product concerns throughout the product life.


  • "A / B” rank torque release: Coordinate with Production Planning and other departments at client to gather and input the necessary information into the current system for the torque release of New Type and current vehicles. Coordinate data collection, complete statistical analysis and submit for approval.
  • Floor investigations: Support investigation to determine root cause.
  • Engineering and Process changes: Attend Engineering Change Control (ECC) meetings and determine the impact of changes. Coordinate release studies as needed.
  • Maintain information on the department network drive, related to torque process release, investigations, and communications.
  • Data collection equipment: Train with torque data collection equipment and become knowledgeable in the use of.
  • Data collection software: Train with torque data collection software and become knowledgeable in the use of.
  • Reports: Maintain reports updated.
  • Coordinate updates with other member of the Torque Team.
  • Product Safety: Support implementation and monitoring of Product Safety requirements as needed.

 

Necessary Skills

  • Possess very strong problem-solving skills in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Willingness to excel and take over responsibilities for own tasks and approaches
  • Operating systems and software knowledge including Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to work night / split shift, weekends, as required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and apply time management independently. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)


Preferred Skills

  • Basic project management and experience leading problem solving groups.
  • Torque analysis experience.
  • Automotive Systems working knowledge including Produktionsleit-und –steuerungssystem (PLUS), Manufacturing Reporting System (MRS), Central Process Archiving (CEPRA), ToolsNet, QS-Torque, DIALOG.
  • Optimization tools and software working knowledge (time management tools, project management software)
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Ability to communicate in German language.
