Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior HRIS Analyst to lead and optimize the organization's HR technology, reporting, data, and HR systems processes.

This is a highly collaborative, solutions-focused role for someone who understands how HR systems should work and can identify opportunities to make them better. The Senior HRIS Analyst will partner with HR, IT, Finance, Legal, vendors, and organizational leaders to develop practical technology solutions, improve processes, strengthen data integrity, and ensure HR systems effectively support the business.

This is not a people-management role and does not require hands-on HRIS configuration. The ideal candidate is a strong HR technology and systems thinker who can translate business needs into effective solutions and lead initiatives from requirements through implementation and ongoing optimization.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and strategic partner for HRIS, HR technology, reporting, data, and related processes.
  • Lead the ongoing optimization and enhancement of HR systems and HR technology solutions.
  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to understand needs, identify gaps, and develop scalable solutions.
  • Analyze existing HR processes and systems to identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and improved efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, recurring reports, workforce metrics, and HR analytics.
  • Translate HR data into meaningful insights that support organizational and leadership decision-making.
  • Lead HR technology projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, stakeholder alignment, testing, implementation, change management, and post-implementation evaluation.
  • Work closely with IT and external vendors to ensure HR technology solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data flows, system integrations, reporting capabilities, and the overall employee and HR user experience.
  • Establish and maintain data governance, quality controls, audit practices, and reporting standards.
  • Support the evaluation, implementation, renewal, and ongoing management of HR technology vendors and solutions.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, IT, and other cross-functional teams on HR data, systems, compliance, and process initiatives.
  • Develop short- and long-term recommendations for improving HR systems, reporting, data management, and operational processes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to People Strategy & Services leadership on HR technology and data-related matters.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in HRIS, HR technology, people analytics, HR operations, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and how HR technology can be leveraged to improve them.
  • Demonstrated experience leading HRIS/HCM, HR technology, reporting, analytics, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working with HR systems such as ADP (HIGHLY PREFERRED), Workday, iCIMS, or similar platforms.
  • Experience developing and maintaining HR reports, dashboards, metrics, and analytics.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Domo, Looker, or similar platforms.
  • Strong experience gathering requirements, evaluating solutions, managing testing, and leading system or process improvements.
  • Experience working with confidential HR data and maintaining strong data integrity, controls, and security practices.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives through completion.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to understand complex business problems and translate them into practical, scalable technology solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in HRIS, HR technology, people analytics, or HR operations.
  • Experience with HR data integrations, data flows, and system reporting.
  • Experience automating manual HR processes and improving operational efficiency.
  • Experience partnering with IT, Finance, Legal, vendors, and senior leadership.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, R, SPSS, or other analytical tools.
  • Experience supporting HR technology implementations or major system enhancements.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will become a trusted resource for HR technology and data across the organization. They will quickly understand the current environment, identify opportunities for improvement, build practical solutions, and help the People Strategy & Services team use its systems and data more effectively.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, simplifying processes, and turning business needs into technology solutions.
