Working Hours: 9AM - 5:30PM
Term: Contract (6+ months) with possible opportunity of conversion

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, polished Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation practice in a fast-paced law firm environment. This role requires a highly organized, proactive professional who can anticipate needs, exercise sound judgment, and thrive under pressure.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting attorneys with complex litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys.
- Prepare, proofread, edit, and format legal documents, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
- Coordinate federal and state court filings, including electronic and manual filing procedures.
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, court appearances, and deadlines.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, and rental cars.
- Manage attorney email communications and phone calls as directed.
- Organize and maintain client and case files.
- Prepare court filing documents and ensure compliance with applicable filing requirements.
- Research court filing procedures and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
- Coordinate conference room scheduling, meeting logistics, and visitor registration.
- Prepare document packages and copies for meetings, hearings, and trials.
- Process monthly billing and expense reimbursements.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate administrative records.
- Assist with additional administrative and executive support duties as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Administrative Assistant, or Legal Assistant in a law firm.
- Experience supporting litigation attorneys in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court filing procedures.
- Excellent proofreading, grammar, formatting, and document editing skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously.
- Familiarity with legal billing and expense reimbursement processes.
