Job Description:

Our Florida based client is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join our Torts & Insurance Defense practice in our Fort Myers office. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation attorney looking to grow within a respected firm and gain hands-on experience across all phases of complex insurance defense matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
• Evaluate cases and develop litigation strategies
• Respond to and manage discovery
• Prepare for and argue motions and attend court hearings
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Participate in mediations and negotiate settlements
• Collaborate with clients, partners, and legal team members

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of insurance litigation experience
• Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Experience in federal court preferred
• Familiarity with §1983 litigation and appellate work is a plus
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
