Salary/Payrate: $95K-$125K

Work Environment:  Hybrid, (4 days in office/1 remote)

JOB DESCRIPTION


Our client, a well-regarded international law firm is looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join their LA team. The Litigation Paralegal provides comprehensive legal and administrative support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation. This role requires advanced document management, legal drafting, discovery coordination, trial preparation, and research capabilities, along with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.




Core Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, review, and manage client records, electronic data, and case-related documentation while identifying potential sources of relevant information.
  • Conduct routine litigation, criminal, and civil background investigations, public records searches, and social media research; obtain certified and authenticated records as required.
  • Draft, prepare, and revise litigation documents for attorney review, including pleadings, removals, disclosures, discovery requests and responses, motions, orders, deposition notices, affidavits, declarations, settlement agreements, and dismissal filings.
  • Support summary judgment and dispositive motion practice by validating deposition citations, compiling exhibits, and assembling appendices.
  • Identify, prepare, and produce responsive documents with precision, including Bates numbering, redaction, and protection of confidential and privileged material.
  • Assist in trial readiness and courtroom support by organizing exhibits, evidence, witness lists, subpoenas, and trial binders; coordinate witness preparation and provide on-site trial assistance.
  • Perform legal and factual research using online platforms and the firm’s electronic research and document management systems.
  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and assignments simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and proactively requesting support when necessary.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff, offering assistance and support across teams as needed.




Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with strong drafting and editing capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail paired with superior organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, remain composed under pressure, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience working with state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and regulatory bodies.
  • Highly motivated, dependable, adaptable, and collaborative with a strong sense of initiative and intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Rapid adaptability to evolving priorities and changing case demands in a dynamic legal setting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with document review platforms, eDiscovery tools, and document management systems.
  • Experience with Relativity and/or Everlaw strongly preferred; familiarity with Trial Director, OnCue, or comparable trial presentation software a plus.
  • OSHA or Cal-OSHA experience and Spanish-to-English document translation skills preferred.




Experience & Education Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of litigation paralegal experience.
  • Prior experience in labor and employment litigation required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Must meet California paralegal qualification requirements, including one or more of the following:
  • Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program.
  • Completion of an accredited post-secondary paralegal program or degree meeting statutory coursework requirements.
  • A bachelor’s or advanced degree with at least one (1) year of law-related experience under the supervision of a qualified California attorney and accompanying written qualification declaration.
