Salary/Payrate: $95K-$105K annually, bonus and AWESOME benefits!!!

Work Environment: Hybrid (4 days onsite/1 remote)

Job Description: 

Our client, a midsize nationally recognized full-service corporate law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant to join their Legal Support team in their New York office. This is a full time, direct hire role paying an annual base salary of $95K to $105K plus a performance-based bonus and competitive benefits package.

 

This role will allow for a hybrid work schedule with 4-days onsite, 1 remote. Candidates must possess previous experience with federal and state filings and Complex Business Litigation.

 

The Litigation Assistant will provide comprehensive litigation support, including discovery, pleadings, court filings, trial preparation, calendaring, and billing. This role involves frequent interaction with attorneys, staff, and clients and requires strong judgment, professionalism, and attention to detail.


Responsibilities

  • Draft, revise, proofread, and finalize legal documents (pleadings, briefs, discovery, correspondence)
  • Assist with state, federal, and bankruptcy court filings (including NYSCEF and ECF/PACER)
  • Manage attorney calendars using Compulaw and Outlook
  • Prepare materials for hearings, depositions, meetings, and trials
  • Assist with client engagement, conflict checks, and matter openings
  • Enter attorney time, prepare billing submissions, and submit expenses
  • Provide overflow support across offices as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of firm and client matters


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mid- or large-sized law firm supporting multiple attorneys
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word (styles, TOCs/TOAs, track changes, comparisons); working knowledge of Outlook; basic Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with NetDocs, Compulaw, Best Authority, and Adobe Acrobat Pro/DC preferred
  • Strong grammar, proofreading, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

 

Preferred Skills

Experience with NetDocs, Compulaw, Best Authority, and Adobe Acrobat Pro/DC preferred.
