Location: REMOTE

Salary/Payrate: $80K-$135K annually and AWESOME benefits!!!

Work Environment: 100% Remote

Term:  Contract 12+ months with possible opportunity of conversion

Job Description: 

Our federal client is looking to hire a Scrum Master on a 100% REMOTE basis. This is a long-term (12 months, renewable) contract paying an annual salary of $80K to $135K (dependent on experience) on a W2 basis with full benefits and PTO.

 

***Due to the required clearance with our government client, only US Citizens, Green Card and Green Card EAD holders may be considered. Clearance requires that the candidates have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days***

 


List of Tasks to be Performed

  • As Scrum Master, will provide direction to the development and testing teams members, conduct Agile Ceremonies, oversee work and release management.
  • Responsible for managing the entire Scrum process and maintaining Scrum artifacts and Scrum Tool.
  • Takes projects from assignment to implementation.
  • Supports management team’s efforts in change management.
  • Recommends and takes action to improve processes.

 


Knowledge with the Following Qualifications

  • Motivated self-starter with excellent analytical, organization, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Deep knowledge of software development cycle and testing methodologies.
  • Utilization of DevOps and Agile methods to promote collaboration and flexibility in software testing and development. 
  • Experience using Version One or other work management tools.
  • Strong understanding of the complete life cycle of a system (SDLC) application and operating systems.
  • Attention to Detail. Critical for identifying discrepancies in payroll calculations that could lead to financial penalties or legal issues
  • Problem-Solving. Ability to analyze issues and payroll anomalies, determine if a discrepancy is a system bug or input error, and work with developers to resolve them.  
  • Strong Communication Skills. Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders, Solutions Architects, Product Owner, Managers and Developers.
  • Time Management. Manage testing schedules to meet deadlines and payroll cycles.
  • Successful candidates will ensure quality, timely completion of projects, meeting the specified expectations, reducing the risk or errors and customer satisfaction.

 


Working knowledge of one of more of the following qualifications

  • DevSecOps
  • Agile Scrum
  • VersionOne or equivalent Agile project management software
  • Knowledge of and experience with SDLC practices
  • Payroll systems and processing
  • Mainframe knowledge a plus

 


Required Certifications, if any:

  • Scrum Master Certification required.
  • The Scrum Master will heavily use these skills: communication, leadership, organization, time management, project management, risk management, problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork.

 


Required Experience Level:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience, in technology or software development preferred.

 


Educational Requirements:

  • A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred.
  • NOTE: If resource does not have a relevant college degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
