Job Title: Personal Injury Paralegal

Location: Seattle, WA 98119

Salary/Payrate: $85K-$105K annually, INSANE BONUS, ONSITE PARKING, and AWESOME BENEFITS!!!

Work Environment:  Hybrid (2 days WFH)

Term: Permanent

Bachelor’s degree required: Preferred

Referral Fee: AMS will pay $500 referral should the person you refer gets hired

 

 

 

Job Description:

Salary in the $85K-$105K range + INSANE BONUS, ONSITE PARKING, AND AMAZING benefits. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, precise, accurate, efficient, a team player, a problem-solver, and motivated to take on increasing responsibility in fast-paced complex litigation practice. Prior litigation experience required. Personal Injury practice experience will be given priority. Familiarity and comfort with up-to-date technology is a must as this is a paperless practice, including: office 365, adobe pro, excel, etc. Candidate must be resourceful, independent and motivated with excellent communication skills and capable of managing high stress workload.

 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • File management.
  • Regular and consistent correspondence with clients via phone, email, Zoom/Teams.
  • Correspondence with outside agencies.
  • ECR/ECF navigation - e-filing, e-serving, downloading, and searching. You must know how to e-file.
  • Calendaring hearings, deadlines, reminders.
  • Scheduling.
  • Meeting with clients and witnesses. Communicate with courts and opposing counsel.
  • Drafting answers to discovery requests and pleadings. Must have an understanding of the litigation process and be able to anticipate the upcoming attorney needs.
  • Tracking case costs.
  • Reviewing & analyzing medical and other agency records.
  • E-discovery.
  • Preparing demand packages, medical summaries and chronologies.
  • Preparing Trial materials including - ER 904 packages, Jury Instructions, Witness and exhibit lists, Pleadings, Preparation and management of Exhibits, Witness scheduling management, including arranging video conferencing, use of PowerPoint.
  • Subrogation negotiation experience


 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years law firm experience
  • Attendance & Punctuality: Be consistently at work and on time; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent.
  • Communication: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer Service: Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.
  • Dependability: Follow instructions; complete tasks on time; work independently.
  • Professionalism: Approach others in a tactful manner; treat others with respect; react well under pressure.
  • Teamwork: Contribute to building a positive team spirit; support everyone’s efforts to succeed.
  • Solid demonstration of understanding of local, state and federal court rules.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Word/Office 365 and the ability to type at least 70 wpm.
  • The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced high demand environment, and under deadlines.
  • Must be able to work up a file with minimal supervision from intake through trial preparation and through jury trial.
