Job Description:

 

A well-established and growing law firm in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a full-time, experienced Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support its Estate, Trust, and Probate Litigation (Estate Controversy) practice. This is a litigation-focused role with some administrative responsibilities, offering the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on complex matters involving significant client interaction.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent administrative and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Candidates must be proactive, adaptable, and able to exercise sound judgment and initiative while supporting attorneys and contributing to overall team efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive litigation support throughout all phases of a case
  • Draft, revise, and manage pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Assist with trial preparation
  • Handle e-filing in Arizona state courts (eFileAZ); federal filing experience is a plus
  • Maintain docketing and calendaring (CompuLaw)
  • Manage case files and documents (PerfectLaw, SharePoint)
  • Coordinate and support significant client interaction
  • Assist with additional administrative and project-related tasks as needed

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of litigation experience in Arizona required
  • Strong experience with case management, calendaring, and e-filing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with docketing and document management systems strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Note: eDiscovery/database experience (Relativity, Everlaw, etc.) is not required.

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary starting at $80,000+, commensurate with experience
  • Quarterly bonus opportunities
  • Billable requirement of approximately 80 hours/month (varies based on administrative workload)
  • Flexible start and end times within standard office hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
