About the Opportunity

Our client is hiring multiple attorneys due to continued practice growth. These opportunities may be full-time OR part-time, and are ideal for experienced litigators seeking flexibility while still handling meaningful defense work.

Ideal candidates will bring 4+ years of experience in insurance defense, workers’ compensation, or general liability and be licensed (or eligible) to practice in one or more of our active jurisdictions.

Available Roles (3 total)

Kansas

• Must hold a Kansas law license OR be actively pursuing one
• Remote work available for Kansas-licensed attorneys

Missouri

• Kansas City, MO or St. Louis, MO
• Must have either Kansas or Missouri license AND be willing to obtain the other

Arizona

• Must have active Arizona license
• Phoenix location, hybrid or remote considered

Key Responsibilities

• Manage defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop strategic defense approaches
• Conduct research and prepare motions, briefs, pleadings, discovery responses
• Handle depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Prepare witnesses and evidence for hearings, trial, and ADR
• Communicate recommendations, risk analysis, and case strategy to clients
• Collaborate with partners, clients, and claims professionals

Qualifications

• 4+ years litigation in Insurance Defense, Workers’ Comp, and/or General Liability
• Licensed in:
• Kansas and/or Missouri (one required, both preferred & must obtain the other)
• OR Arizona
• Strong writing and motion practice
• Ability to manage deadlines and a busy caseload
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
