Our client, a well-established and highly respected law firm with a strong presence in the New York legal, is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant to join their Midtown Manhattan office. Known for its collaborative culture and commitment to excellence, the firm represents leading institutional lenders, investors, and developers in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions. Responsibilities
As a Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant, you will:
- Provide legal and administrative support to multiple partners within the commercial real estate practice.
- Assist in the coordination and closing of complex commercial real estate transactions, including multi-million-dollar loan financings.
- Liaise directly with large commercial banks, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Manage a high volume of deals simultaneously (often 10–15 at a time).
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across all documents and filings.
- Utilize document management systems to organize and track legal files.
- Ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of all transactional support tasks.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions (residential experience will not be considered).
- Prior experience in a law firm setting supporting multiple partners
- Demonstrated ability to manage a large caseload of transactions simultaneously.
- Strong background in working with large commercial banks and lenders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with law firm document management systems (Worldox, NetDocs, or equivalent).
- Stable work history with demonstrated long-term tenure in past roles.
