Job Title: Conflicts Analyst

Location: New York, NY 10001

Salary/Payrate: $85K-$95K

Work Environment:  Multiple roles available in New York (hybrid) and California, Texas or Chicago (fully remote PST hours only)

Term:  Direct Hire

Bachelor’s degree required:  Yes

Referral Fee: AMS will pay $500 should the person you refer gets hired




JOB DESCRIPTION


Our client, a highly regarded international law firm is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to support the firm’s conflicts clearance and new business intake processes.



Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough conflicts checks / screenings and review reports for potential conflicts of interest
  • Maintain and update accurate, reliable database records
  • Collaborate with conflicts team, attorneys, and General Counsel to resolve issues and support matter openings
  • Communicate with attorneys and staff to gather information, clarify discrepancies, and ensure data accuracy
  • Validate conflicts check requirements to ensure policy and legal compliance
  • Perform corporate research to verify entities and understand organizational structures
  • Coordinate with accounting and internal teams to ensure data consistency
  • Provide after-hours or weekend support as needed
  • Follow firm policies, procedures, and operational standards



Qualifications & Skills

  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, with ability to learn new systems (e.g., iManage)
  • Understanding of conflicts processes in legal/professional services environments
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exercise discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality
  • Work effectively independently and collaboratively
  • Flexible with scheduling based on business needs



Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or professional services setting
  • Experience in a conflicts department (Am Law 50 preferred
