Job Title: Litigation Paralegal – Defense

Location: Richmond, VA 23219

Positions Available: 3

Salary/Payrate:

  • $65K–$70K for junior-level candidates
  • Up to the low–mid $90Ks for highly experienced Paralegals

Litigation Paralegal – Defense | Hybrid | Richmond, VA

 


PLEASE NOTE: This is not a medical malpractice role.

 

A well-established defense litigation boutique law firm located in Richmond’s historic Shockoe Slip area is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its collaborative litigation team.

About the Role

You will support attorneys from initial incident through trial, serving as a true project manager for assigned matters.

 



Responsibilities include:

  • Managing case timelines and follow-ups with attorneys
  • Drafting pleadings, discovery responses, and legal documents
  • Issuing and tracking FOIAs and subpoenas
  • Coordinating document collection and review
  • Scheduling and preparing for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Communicating with clients and witnesses
  • Preparing deposition and trial exhibits
  • Serving as trial paralegal when needed

 



What They’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of complex litigation paralegal experience
  • Strong organizational and case management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Tech-savvy (strong knowledge of litigation technology preferred)
  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for trial (~2% travel)
