Job Description:


Established Tampa litigation firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in insurance defense and personal injury litigation. This role supports attorneys through all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial, and requires the ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage case files from inception through trial, including tracking deadlines and maintaining organization
  • Review and summarize medical records, depositions, and case documents
  • Prepare medical chronologies and assist with discovery investigations and responses
  • Draft and assist in reviewing pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
  • Coordinate document production and respond to subpoenas and discovery requests
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation and trial attendance
  • Conduct legal research (statutes, case law, public records, etc.)
  • Communicate with attorneys, clients, experts, and third parties as a liaison
  • Maintain calendars and coordinate scheduling
  • Ensure compliance with Florida state and federal court procedures, including e-filing
  • Enter billable time contemporaneously in accordance with firm/client guidelines



Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience (insurance defense strongly preferred)
  • Experience handling personal injury cases from inception through trial
  • Strong knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and e-filing systems
  • Experience with medical records review and chronologies
  • Prior billing experience with time entry requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience
