Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant – Defense Litigation

Location: Atlanta, GA 30309

Salary/Payrate: $65K - $85K annually, depending on experience, bonus and AWESOME benefits!!!

Work Environment: Hybrid (1 of days WFH)

Term: Permanent / Fulltime

Legal Administrative Assistant – Defense Litigation

 

Required: Prior defense litigation experience in a law firm environment. Candidates coming from plaintiff personal injury and/or plaintiff medical malpractice practices will not be considered.

Our client, a well-established Atlanta law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced defense litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have prior law firm experience supporting defense attorneys and possess exceptional organizational, communication, and document management skills.



Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling defense matters
  • Manage complex attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, hearings, depositions, and other deadlines
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents and correspondence
  • Create, organize, and maintain electronic and physical case files
  • Prepare and manage electronic notebooks and PDF documents
  • Coordinate communications with clients, courts, witnesses, and other legal professionals
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other correspondence
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information
  • Provide general administrative support to the litigation team



Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of legal administrative assistant experience in a law firm environment
  • Prior defense litigation experience is required
  • Plaintiff-side and personal injury experience alone will not be considered
  • Strong calendaring and scheduling experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat/PDF software, and electronic document management systems
  • Experience creating and maintaining electronic notebooks
  • Excellent typing, formatting, proofreading, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
