Job Title: e-Discovery Project Manager

Salary/Payrate: $100K-$112K annually and AWESOME benefits!!!

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing small and large eDiscovery matters from collection to production.
  • Consulting, at all levels, including providing discovery/eDiscovery and related technology expertise, consulting services, and guidance to management, clients, attorneys, paralegals, case assistants, and support staff, specifically including the development of a discovery plan and budget.
  • Providing ongoing litigation technology and trial technology support to legal teams, including design and implementation of databases and quality control.
  • Managing and consulting with attorneys on Technology Assisted Review projects using Relativity’s Review Center application and aiR suite of AI products.
  • Providing guidance and targeted support in the area of discovery, monitoring and management of vendors.
  • Assisting in developing, proposing, and implementing best practice standards and guidelines for litigation technology work and AI solutions.
  • Participating in ongoing in-house training; attending informational, professional and vendor events to understand technology and services developments in the field.
  • Working with the Information Technology department and recommending software and hardware for litigation technology purposes.
  • Providing training, including assisting attorneys and others to develop strategies and programs for providing ongoing instruction and information to case teams regarding litigation support, AI, and discovery issues.
  • Provide backup for Litigation Support team when necessary.
  • Assist the Manager of Knowledge and Practice Support Services in exploring and implementing innovative AI solutions across all practice groups.

 


JOB DUTIES / TECHNICAL

  • Processing documents using RelativityOne.
  • Maintaining document databases using document review software (specifically RelativityOne) from both the technical and end-user perspective.
  • Case management and transcript management support using software such as RelativityOne, Opus2, TimeCoder Pro or an equivalent software package.
  • Perform or coordinate email, electronic document, mobile device, and social media profile collections using Forensic Email Collector, Microsoft Purview, Relativity Collect, PageVault, iExplorer or an equivalent software package.
  • Documenting work by maintaining a log and chain of custody.
  • Trial support using software such as Trial Director or an equivalent software package.

 



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS required.
  • 5+ years of work experience in a mid-to-large law firm or equivalent is required.
  • Expert‑level knowledge of automated litigation information management, databases, project/case management, litigation support, discovery and evidence management, and imaging management software and systems.
  • Relativity Certified Administrator or Certified E-Discovery Specialist preferred.
  • A high degree of proficiency with technology such as Microsoft Office, Kofax Power PDF Advanced, iManage/FileSite, and database management/administration systems.

 



ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Proficient in AI technologies and their application in legal practices.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of and familiarity with litigation technology issues, applications, and case law.
  • Experience with performing document reviews and providing case management and transcript management support using software such as Opus2, Relativity, or an equivalent software package.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling and proofing for content and context.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and practical judgment.
  • Assume responsibility to work independently, and if necessary, able to delegate workload in order to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities in managing multiple responsibilities under pressure.
  • Detail-orientated and self-motivated.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members throughout the firm.
  • Flexibility and means from time-to-time travel to other offices.
  • Meet physical demands of the position explained below.
  • Adaptable to last-minute changes and disruptions, and able to accommodate overtime work as required.
