A well-established regional law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2–5 years of experience to join their Jacksonville, Fl. office.
This role is ideal for a motivated attorney with a background in insurance defense or complex commercial litigation. You will work with a collaborative team managing cases from inception through trial, gaining exposure to multi-jurisdictional disputes in state and federal courts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation files from start to finish, including discovery, motions, and trial preparation
- Draft and respond to written discovery, as well as prepare dispositive motions
- Participate in deposition preparation, and take/defend depositions
- Engage in direct client communication and provide file analysis and reports
- Attend court for procedural and dispositive motions, as well as trials
- Work on cases involving cybersecurity, privacy, business disputes, and other commercial matters
- Billable hour requirement: 1900-2,000 hours per year
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of litigation experience
- Must be licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
- Experience in insurance defense or commercial litigation
