Job Title: Associate Attorney – Medical Malpractice Litigation

Location: Sioux City, IA 51102

Salary/Payrate: $115-160K DOE

Work Environment: Onsite

Term: Permanent

Bachelor’s degree required: Yes

Referral Fee: AMS will pay $1000 should the person you refer get hired




JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our law firm client is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its Medical Malpractice Litigation practice in Iowa. Key Responsibilities


Associates in this role will gain meaningful courtroom and client exposure, including:

  • Legal research and drafting of motions, briefs, and pleadings
  • Discovery management and deposition preparation
  • Direct client interaction
  • Court appearances and hearing participation
  • Medical record review and case analysis
  • Collaboration with expert witnesses in complex medical malpractice matters



Associates are given substantive responsibility while maintaining flexibility and autonomy in managing their workload and professional development.



Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed in Iowa (or eligible for admission)
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Interest in medical malpractice and civil litigation
  • Commitment to long-term professional growth
