Our federal client is looking to hire a 100% remote COBOL/Mainframe Developer. Please send your resume in WORD format should you be interested in exploring this role. The position is on a contract to hire basis and will pay an hourly rate of $55 - $90/HR 1099, dependent on experience. We also offer the option of $90K to $138K W2, with full benefits and PTO.

***Due to the required clearance with our government client, only US Citizens, Green Card and Green Card EAD holders may be considered. Clearance requires that the candidates have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days***

Description:

• 10+ years experience with COBOL & DB2.
• Experience with Changeman to create packages and promote code.
• Ability to scan libraries to find instances of key words / phrases to help research issues.
• May lead project teams within assigned unit develop, plan and manage project tasks
• Respond to incidents in ServiceNow
• Create ServiceNow Change requests following client’s processes
• Participate in meetings relating to specific technical projects or tasks
• Ability to develop and maintain IT documentation.
• Independently analyzes and develops innovative resolutions for complex problems, implements solutions independently and as part of a team.
• Develops, plans, and manages project tasks.
• Provides training to less experienced team members, if needed.
