Job Title: Senior Accountant

Salary/Payrate: $85K-$100K annually and AWESOME benefits!!!

Work Environment: Hybrid (2 days WFH)

Term: Permanent

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
  • Perform the monthly close.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and coordinate their distribution.
  • Prepare monthly management reports and coordinate their distribution.
  • Provide financial modeling, analysis, and trends to be used in the Firm's strategic planning initiatives. Assist with forecasting and budget preparation.
  • Assist with annual financial and compensation surveys.
  • Document and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Firm compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Maintain and ensure compliance over Client Trust Accounts.
  • Assist in coordination with external auditors, tax returns, and mandatory filings (I1 Use Tax, Chicago Use Tax, etc.)
  • Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and fixed asset records.
  • Work closely and assist with all functions within the Accounting Department.
  • Prepare ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Serve as backup to payroll coordinator.

 


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required, CPA certification a plus
  • Minimum of three to five years accounting experience required; Law Firm Or Professional Services industry experience
  • Preferred experience in Elite Enterprise, software,3E experience a plus. Microsoft Excel.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and oversee projects.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Be a proactive member of an Accounting Team
