Our client is a fast-paced, client-focused workers’ compensation law firm committed to delivering top-tier legal representation and results. They are seeking a motivated and proactive Administrative Assistant who is looking to grow into a Legal Secretary role.
Position Summary
As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a critical support role on our legal team while learning the ins and outs of legal calendaring, e-filing, and docketing. This is an ideal opportunity for an administrative professional with 3+ years of experience who is eager to grow into a more specialized legal support role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and legal staff
- Prepare, edit, and proofread correspondence and basic legal documents
- Answer and direct phone calls, manage emails, and handle client inquiries
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, hearings, and deadlines
- Organize and maintain paper and electronic filing systems
- Assist with legal calendaring and tracking deadlines
- Support e-filing and document management for legal cases (training provided)
- Perform data entry and maintain case management systems
- Take initiative to anticipate team needs and follow up on tasks

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in an administrative support role
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Positive, proactive, and self-motivated ("go-getter" attitude)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience in the medical or healthcare industry is a plus
- Prior exposure to legal environments or legal terminology is a plus

- Interest in a long-term legal support career path
- Familiarity with workers' compensation processes is a bonus
- Willingness to take initiative and continuously learn new legal tools and procedures
